Fright Night - Halloween on St. Armands

Our fabulous Halloween event, in its 2nd year, returns for the "young and young at heart." FRIGHT NIGHT! transforms St. Armands Circle from island sophistication to Halloween fun. Decorated store fronts set the stage for wandering spirits of St. Armands past; frightening characters appear around every corner amidst statues dressed in the Halloween spirit. Children trick-or-treat throughout The Circle with numerous retailers and restaurants contributing to the Halloween spirit with customized promotions. In collaboration with the Sarasota High School Drama Department, a performance of "Thriller" will take place around 8:30pm. This is a NOT to be missed event!!!

"Holiday Night of Lights"

Come experience the most magical night of all, "Holiday Night of Lights", on Sarasotas famous "charmed circle"! A tradition that began over 31 years ago, continues to grow in popularity and has become the "must attend" holiday event on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Our spectacular holiday extravaganza begins at 6:00pm with a Christmas Carol Sing-a-long and the arrival of Santa & Mrs. Claus, in their very own special sleigh, escorted by the Sarasota Police Department and the Sarasota County Fire Department! The lighting of our magnificent 51 ft., 5 story, Rocky Mountain Pine Christmas (the largest on the Gulf Coast of Florida) will take place shortly after Santas arrival. Over 40,000 lights and 800 Christmas bulbs will come to life, as Santa "flips the switch" and turns St. Armands Circle into a "white lighted wonderland". Immediately following the Tree Lighting Ceremony Santa will be available for visits, and photos, with the young and "young at heart" !! The sound of traditional holiday music, as well as dance performances, will add to the festivities. Over 18 musical groups will perform throughout the evening, from 6:30pm - 9:00pm, at various locations stationed around the Circle. Circle businesses & restaurants offer a warm "Holiday Welcome" with extended store hours, special sales & holiday treats. Horse drawn carriage rides will be available, for those who would like a "moonlight ride". Its an evening to shop, dine and stroll the Circle. Suncoast Motorsports will be hosting their 7th Annual Porsches in the Park event at the beautiful St. Armands Circle, Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 10 am until 4 pm. Some of the most spectacular Porsche cars from all over Florida will be on display in the center of the circle for public viewing.
Live entertainment, raffles, and delicious food catered by 15 South Ristorante, will be on hand for the first 200 guests that register. Its a fun filled day meeting friends and experiencing these beautiful automobiles up close and personal, all with a backdrop of the finest shops and restaurants on the west coast of Florida.
Suncoast Motorsports located at 5005 S. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota is home to some of the most beautiful automobiles offering 3 lines of imports, Porsche, Audi and Volkswagen.
